CHALLENGING NEEDS
Paradise Elementary serves children with special needs with a one half-time challenging needs unit. All children are homeroom-based in classrooms. Each child has an individualized program plan based on his or her needs and abilities. Daily activities are drawn from selected classroom themes and seasonal activities as well as the individualized plans.
All children join their homeroom classmates for gym, music, assemblies, fieldtrips, choir, art and selected seasonal activities. In all situations, independence and self-reliance are stressed.
